2nd June 2026 - Celebrating Our Sporting Stars!

A huge congratulations to Koah Lyons from 3rd Class, who achieved outstanding success at the Meath Community Games, winning gold medals in both the U10 100m Sprint and the U10 100m Relay. This is a fantastic achievement! We are incredibly proud of Koah and delighted to celebrate his success. Well done, Koah!

We would also like to congratulate Koah and Tadhg Maher, whose GAA team has successfully progressed to the County Final. This is a wonderful accomplishment, and we are thrilled to see your dedication and teamwork being rewarded.

Well done, boys! We wish you the very best of luck in the final and look forward to hearing more about your sporting achievements in the future.

20th May 2026 - The boys rounders team beat Bohermeen in the semi-final

Ratoath SNS played Bohermeen NS in the Cumann na mBunscoil rounders semi final this week.

Ratoath started well in the first innings with Leo Goodall getting home and keeping Bohermeen scoreless.

In a tight second innings, Bohermeen got on top getting three home and keeping us scoreless, making the score 3-1 to them.

In the 3rd innings, Ratoath got home with Leo, Noah Grant, Evan Kelly and Conor Fitzgerald whilst Bohermeen got a further two runs, pulling ahead 6-5.

The fourth innings proved vital, with a further four runs from Mikey Gallagher, Leo, Noah and Evan making it 9-6 to Ratoath. A great defensive effort in the final two kept Bohermeen scoreless, making 9-6 the final score.

Man of the Match went to Domantas Griksas.

The final will take place on the 8th June in Navan O Mahony’s at 12pm against Kilmessan NS or Whitecross NS.

Best of luck to all the rounders boys in the final.

15th May 2026 - The girls rounders team lose to St Mary’s in the Quarter Final

The girls rounders team recently played their Cumann na mBunscoil quarter final away against St Mary’s in Ashbourne. The match was played in a wonderful atmosphere of respect and camaraderie and the girls were treated to a post match treat.

The Ratoath girls worked well as a team, growing into the match but unfortunately came up against a really strong team in St Mary’s.

Player of the match went to Beth Howard.

Well done to all the girls for their great effort in training all year.

Girls Rounders Team

25th March 2026

On Wednesday, the boys’ soccer team took part in the county final of the FAI competition against St Declan’s Ashbourne.

It was a really close game that finished 1-1 after extra time but Ratoath won 5-4 on penalties to become county champions.

The team was Domantas Griksas, Evan Kelly, Michael Ryan, Greg Campbell, Finn Reynolds, Leo Goodall, Kayden Clarke and Luke Mullen.

Well done to all involved and to each team for taking part and representing the school so well across both days of the competition.

The next stage of the competition is the North Leinster final at the end of April.

19th March 2026

A huge congratulations to all of the students who took part in the Meath Primary School’s Cross Country Competition at Navan Adventure Grounds today!

With over 100 students competing in each race, our runners showed incredible determination and resilience in their races. They did themselves and their school proud today.

A very special mention goes to Maia Kelly from 4th Class, who achieved an absolutely amazing 1st place finish, a fantastic accomplishment!

30th September 2025

The boys played their final group game against St. Mary’s of Ashbourne, winning 6-21 to 0-08.

From pillar to post, Ratoath dominated in all areas.

This now qualifies the team for the semi-finals.

Man of the match goes to today’s captain, Finn Friswell, after scoring a goal and working incredibly hard. Well done all!

23rd September 2025

The boys played their third match of the Cumann na mBunscol competition against Dunboyne, winning 1-13 to 2-2.

A strong second half saw the team outscore Dunboyne by 10 points to 1!

Man of the match went to Leo Goodall

16th September 2025

The boys played their second match of their league away to St Declan’s of Ashbourne. The game was played in windy conditions. The final score was 2-14 to 4-2 in favour of Ratoath SNS!

The game was very close for a long time but Sam Burke’s goal swung the game in our direction.

Player of the match goes to Hugh McNerney.

Next week, the team play away to Dunboyne.

10th September 2025

Well done to the boys’ football team who defeated St Paul’s on a scoreline of 19 points to 1 goal and 6 points. The game was played in torrential rain and the team worked really hard!

Well done to the boys who played their first game for the school today.

Next up, is a match away to St. Declan’s Ashbourne next week.

Huge congratulations to Jake Andrews, Greg Callibotte, Jamie Canavan, Sam Considine, Koah Lyons, Jake Madden, Tadhg Maher, Ethan Maloney, Oscar Morrison and Dáire Moynihan who won the mini All-Ireland 2025 in St Jude’s on Sunday beating teams from across the country to win the shield.

The boys proudly toured the classes today to talk about the day and show off the shield.

Congratulations, Ratoath Senior National School Athletes! 🏅

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students who took part in the Athletics Track and Field Competition at Claremont Stadium in June.

🏆 We brought home an amazing 11 medals on the day! 🏆
